I'm so old paper license and a current photo card, but I've heard that the picture must be renewed every ten years, although I do not say, in fact, before 2030? I am confused I need to renew

Your right to drive and can last until 2030, but license photo card will not be so long.
The expiry date is when the photo is for an extension to the front of the card in the middle with 4b.
Are you sure that you have an old paper? A photo card driving consists of 2 parts, credit cards and a matching plastic. The one without the other is not even licensed.
You will receive a reminder and forms necessary to obtain the DVLA when I have new photos.
